About DaoDao

DaoDao was founded by a trained practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine who also runs a licensed Beijing travel agency. We exist for one reason: most visitors to China see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, but almost no one leaves understanding Chinese medicine — the practice that has quietly shaped how a fifth of humanity eats, rests and stays well for thousands of years.

Our tours are built around one idea: you cannot understand TCM by reading about it. You have to walk the streets where herbs are sold, taste the snacks that blur the line between food and medicine, feel a pulse being read, and hear the stories behind four natures and five flavours.

We keep groups small, move slowly, and answer every question. Because the Dao — the way — is best understood one step at a time.
